WHARF REPAIRS DISPUTE
THREAT TO STOP TRAINS

WELLINGTON, this day,
[Regarding the dispute between the Railway Department and the New Plymouth Harbour Board with reference to keeping the Breakwater wharf in repair, the Department. has notified the Board that unless the work of repairing the wharf is immediately proceeded with, trains to the wharf will discontinue running, and all goods will be delivered at the station. This would .involve serious inconvenience to Auckland shippers.
