PARNELL FOOTBALL CLUB.
The annual meeting of the Parneil District Football Club was held at the Oddfellows' Hall, Parneil, last evening. Mr G. S. Kissling, president, occupied the chair, and there was a large attendance of. members. The annual report showed that the fifteens had given good accounts of themselves, the seniors finishing second for the third year in succession. A site for a training gymnasium had been bought at a cost of £160, a deposit of £40 having been paid. Since last season the club had lost the services of several prominent players, including Laing, Asher, Phelan, Pearce and Thomson. The expenditure showed receipts £120 6/7; expenditure £85 18/; credit balance £31 8/7. The following officers were elected: President, Mr G.. S. Kissling; vice presidents, last year's vice presidents, with the addition of Mr Jas. Hume;hon. secretary, Mr H. Dunnage; hon treasurer, Mr F< M. Jervis; assistant secretary, Mr • Totman; committee of management, Messrs H. B. Gordon, R. Hancock, and H. Thomson; delegates' to the Rugby Union, Messrs F. M. JerviS, P. R. Fraser and H. B. Gordon; selection committee, Messrs F. M. Jervis, F. Murray and F. Laws. The selection committee was instructed to pick the first practice team, who will appoint a captain and vice captain. The question of the erection of a training hall was discussed, and the matter was left in the hands of the management committee. ■
