The barque Veritas passed the Wenona from Newcastle to Auckland in the Tasman Sea on Monday last.
The barque Rising Star left for Wellington at 4.30 p.m. on Thursday, to complete the discharge of her cargo from Hamburg.,
Mr Wl Outram, chief officer of the s.s. Opawa, -w,ho has been studying at Mr Gifford's Navigation School, Wellington, has passed his examination as master of a Home trade passenger ship.
The s.s. Flora arrived from the South on Thursday night. She left Dune din on 24th March, and called in at the usual way ports, arriving at 8 p.m. She left again for the South this afternoon.
The s.s. Poherua arrived from the South yesterday, with a cargo of produce. Mr Perry,"chief officer, reports that the'ves-1 sel left the Bluff on March 23, and called in at Oamaru, Timaru and Picton.
The repairs to the steamer Douglas, which was recently stranded at the Mokau, .have been completed .at Helensville,.andthe vessel loads timber at Aoroa for Waitara.
The Miowera's careo for Auckland consists of 42 cases paper, 37 cases drugs, and 2 bales cotton.
