A YEAR'S LOSSES.

At the annual meeting of the Council of the Fire Underwriters' Association of New Zealand, the president (Mr Allen), general manager of the Commercial Union Assurance Company, informed the meeting- that the total amount of fire losses sustained by all companies doing business in the colony amounted for the year to £ 302,400. ■
