CAMPBELL-BAjSNERMAN ELECTED
LONDON, February 7.
At a meeting of the Liberal Party. Sir Henry Campbell-Bannerman was unanimously elected leader of the party in succession to Sir W. V. Harcourt.
Sir Henry Campbell Bannerman, when returning thanks, promised to offer vigorous opposition to the Government.
A meeting of the Liberal Party, to consider the appointment of a successor to Sir W. Harcourt, was held at the Reform Club. A resolution was passed expressing continued confidence in Sir W. Harcourt, and regretting his retirement.
