ST. PETER'S, TAKAPUNA.
At. a meeting Of the Local Committee Of St. Peter's Church, Takapmna, held on February 7th, 3899. in the vestry of the church, present: Messrs F. H. Williamson (in the chair), Robert Kirk, 11. P. Barry, A. B. Brett and W. Akers, the following resolutions were, unanimously agreed to:—
1. That the Local Committee acting on behalf of the parishioners cannot see its way to contribute further towards the stipend of an assistant clergyman, as the existing arrangement with the Devon port Vestry has hot been adhered to, and owing to the Vicar's noncompliance .with the parishioners' wishes, and instructs its Secretary to notify the Vestry of the parish accordingly, and in case it ia hot placed before the Vestry by the secretary* at its first meeting, the People's Warden of Holy Trinity and Messrs Williamson and Kirk be requested to bring this resolution before the Vestry at its first meeting after this date.
2. That this meeting nominates Mr H. L. Brett to fill the vacancy on the Holy ■ Trinity Vestry created by the resignation of Col. Burton. 3. That this meeting requests Mr Arthur Brett to countersign all cheques paid away on acount of St. Peter's, Takapuna, in conjunction ■with the treasurer.
4. That "all moneys or accounts received to the' credit of St. Peter's, Takapuna, be paid away by cheque only.
