AUCKLAND RACING CLUB.
The monthly meeting of the Committee of the* Auckland Racing Club was held yesterday afternoon. Mr Alfred Buckland presided. The following programmes were passed:— Whakataiie, March 17; Katikati Hack Club, March 8; Te Aroha J.C, March 15; Avondale J.C. Autumn, April 19 and 22; Tirau (late Oxford) hack meeting to be held in April. The Opotiki Racing Club forwarded evidence and stated that Alfred Butler's license as a gentleman rider had been cancelled, also S. P. Moody had been disqualified for three' months under rule 136. The action of the Opotiki Club was endorsed. It was agreed to endorse the disqualification imposed by the Wade Racing Club on F. Kelly and the horse Ngakaroa (raced as Benecia). The application of Win. Perry for a jockeys-license was deferred. In this connection a letter was read from a prominent owner offering to give Perry employment if he was granted a license to ride.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the Sth and 9th inst.. a Racecourse J ele•rraph Office will be open at Hawera from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. All telegrams on racing matters should he addressed "Racecourse. Hawera, otherwise redirection fee will be charged.
