DUNEDIN, Monday

The Congregational Union of New Zealand opened its annual session today, Mr George Fowlds (Auckland) presiding. There was a good attendance of ministers and delegates. The Revs. W. Day, G. Doddrell, W. Finlay Wilson, A. Hodge, and J. Parker were received into the Union. Dr. and Airs Bevan, of Alelbourne, were received and welcomed by the Chairman. The Newton Church was received into the Union. The secretary's report was read and adopted. In the afternoon thanksgiving services were held, the Rev. Fernie giving an address on 'Reasons for Thanksgiving,' and the Rev. A. C. Lyon on 'Our Need of Prayer.'
