THE ELINGAMITE.
Th£ s.s. Elingamite arrived from Sydney at 5.30 a.m.. to-day. Mr A. Cerutty, the purser, reports that the. vessel left Sydney Wharf at 1 p.m. on the 2nd inst., had Three Kings abeam at 9.30 a.m., and pased Cape Maria at 11.25 a.m. and rounded North Cape at 1 p.m. on the 6th, arriving as above. Experienced fresh easterly winds and head sea to 166deg. E„ then moderate westerly winds and confused sea to North Cape; thence to arrival moderate northerly winds and heavy easterly swell. On the voyage from Sydney the usual deck games and pastimes were indulged in by the passengers and ton Saturday evening a concert was held In the social hall, which proved very enjoyable. On Sunday morning and evening divine service was conducted by the Rev. J. F. Henderson, there being a large atendance at each service.
The Elingamite leaves" for the South at 6 o'clock this evening.
