Tie photos and sketches forming ilie originals are all new, and show Auckland Province,'its chief towns, ' geenery, life and pastimes of the people as they are to-day. A feature has been made of the pho'*os of Auckland city and its environs, a great number of the illustrations beino- taken specially to show the city asiUs a thriving metropolitan centre. No such panorama of Auckland as that taken from the harbour specially jar. the 'Star' Exhibition number has ever been published; and those who understand the difficulties attendant on taking panoramic photographic views will understand that the chances ioi another such perfect" panorama arc jemote. The photographic groups of eld identities are also of considerable anterest. The cover, which is now familiar to ' anost Aucklaflders, is distinctly appro- ! wiate and. happy in design, while it is unquestionably one of the finest examples of chromo-lithographic printing ever produced in Australasia. Several pages are devoted to an interesting written account of the exhibition; and the letterpress is accompanied by a half-page illustration of Ihe opening ceremony and a plan of tthe building showing the location of i jthe various stalls and features. The 'Star' publishing department is J(now getting up with the demand and borders can be promptly executed. As t pio second edition can possibly be pub'aished, however, everyone should •*Wure the copies they require at an waily date to avoid disappointment.
