MORTALITY AMONG THE AMERI-
CAN TROOPS.
WASHINGTON, February .4,
The Senate, on the motion of Mr Wason, recently decided that special inquiries should be made regarding the mortality among American troops in the Philippines. Major-General Otis, replying to inquiries, states there have been 220 deaths amongst the /hoops, including 05 from typhoid and forty-three from small pox. Vigorous vaccination is being enforced.
