Wind strong from between west and south west and south at all places northward of Napier and New Plymouth, strong wind to gale from south east to east-north-east, thence south to Kaikoura and Hokitika, and strong from north east to north and west everywhere else.
Barometer—Rise northward of Kaikoura and Hokitika, fall elsewhere.
Sea—lncrease on western and heavy on eastern coast.
Tides—High on east coast south of I^st Cape, increasing on all western coast. >.
