Shares in Ohinemuri Companies have had considerable attention during the week, and the market closed much tinner to-day. X.Z. Talisman shares again sold at. 15/, and were still wanted nt a shade . under that price. N.Z. Crowns had a smart advance from buyers, 13/6 to 15/ at noon to-day, but the lowest quoted teller asked 18/. The declaration of a dividend by the Waitekauri Company caused those shares to advance, buyers offering ?>2/, and holders asking 40/ as against sellers at 35/ yesterday. Wocdstocks. were also firmer, buyers offering *S/,; While- sellers uslied 10/. Thames stocks had fair demand but no advances .took place tipon .yesterday's* values. In Standard stocks Ttuipiri' Extended" Coal shares sold as high as 24/6, whereas a few weeks ago 1(5/ was the best offer. To-day there were still buyers left at 23/6. Northern Steam shares also firmed in price, 8/ being offered.
