HORSE SALE.

Mr J. S. Buekland reports on yesterday's horse sale at The xiaymarket. Al-bert-street: There were eighty-one horses entered, and out of thif.number sixtythree were sold under the hammer in many instances at considerable advances over reserves. The class of horses offered was on the small side, no heavy draughts being entered. For light harness or plough sorts competition -was brisk, and all put up for auction £Old readily at £10 to £19: old and small horses suitable for spring-cart work £ i to £9; gig horses and light hacks S.S to £7; second-hand spring-carts £4 to ii 5/;' second-hand harness 30/ to £4; saddles and bridles 21/ to 45/; child's ponies £2 «/G to £6 2/G. Next week we shall announce a sale of some choic: medium colts and draught mares and geldings.
