EGMONT RACING CLUB MEETING.
The Summer Meeting of the Egmont Racing Club is fixed to take place on Wednesday and ' Thursday next. Acceptances fell due on Monday last, when a poor response was made, and it would appear the Club will not be able to boast of a big meeting this year. Only four are left in the Cup. Coronet has a favourable enough impost, and so have Bluejacket and Battleaxe, but the one I fancy most is Mr Budge's colt. Of the lot engaged in the Waimate Handicap Sedgebrook may prove the best. Tim will likely account for the Hurdle Race, and the Welter Handicap may go to Indian Shot. The following are the acceptances: —
Egmont Cup of 250sovs. One mile and three-Quarters: Coronet 8.3, Bluejacket 7.13, Battleaxe 7.9, Rubin 7.0. Waimate Handicap of SOsovs. Seven furlongs: Waiorongomai 9.1, Sylvia Park 8.13, Red Lancer 8.12, Bonaflde 8.8, Doris 80, Sedgebrook 8.0, Tauhei 7.11, Hempie 7 9, Indian Shot 7.8, Famous 7.8, Eton 7.&, A.quatic 7.4, St. Elmo 7.3, Gold Cup 6.10, Toa 6.9. Handicap Hurdles of HOsovs. Two miles and a distance: Dummy 12.0, Kanaka 10.9, Tim 10.7, Troubadour 10.4, Mayday 9.9,' Pokomoko 9.0, Voltigeur 9.0. Welter Handicap of 60sovs. One mile: Sedgebrook 9.7, Tauhei 9.G, Indian Shot 9.5, Famous 9.0, Surrey 8.0, Toa 8.0, *'raternite 8.0.
