TAKAPUNA JOCKEY CLUE'S SUMMER MEETING.

ANTICIPATIONS OF TO-MORROWS

RACING

The Hummer Meeting of the Tokapuna Jockey Club will be brought to a conclusion to-morrow. Eight races are on. the programme for decision, the first being timed to start at o,uc o'clock The return ferry fare and admission to the course is fixed at one shilling Seven are engaged in the Second Maiden Hurdles, which open proceedings. Aialanta may prove safest to trust. The Borough Handicap of four furlongs has a field oil sixteen. Picklock reads with a good winning chance. A good number.will no doubt go to the post for the Summer Handicap, one mile. Ilex should run well, but St. Ursula got through her task in the Maiden Plate so well on the opening day that she must prove very hard 1o beat with an impost of 7/4 on her back. However, the one that pleases me most is Miss Anna. It may be there will be only two starters in the Third Hurdles. If Kanaka is an absentee the event may go to Volcano. In the Devonport Handicap Doctor and Firefly appeal- to have excel lent; prospects. The Marino Handicap has only socured four acceptors, flalbadier reads a likely one. Of the nine engager! in the Second Steeplechase I like best Kanaka and Nor'west, and they may finish in that order. A tremendous field is left in ■the Welter Handicap, but nothing appears to me to have better prospects than Doctor and Regulus. ILTPPONA.
