A sale of Mr Massey - Watson's effects was proceeding' this afternoon at Messrs.. Churton and Co.'s auction mart. There was a crowded attendance.

When discovered the fire had a good hold, and though the residents in the vicinity turned out and formed a bucket brigade nothing could be saved, and the house was burned to the ground, the furniture being also destroyed. The" building was; insured for £100, and the furniture for £50. in the Royal office, and these will about cover the losses. No cause can be assigned for the outbreak.
