A tragedy occurred at Paddington today. A man named Kelly shot and killed a young woman. Mis.-? Flynn. It is understood that they quarrelled over an engagement ring, which the girl refused to return. The man first attempted to shoot her in the kitchen, but she rushed into the street, and he shot her in the back, and then shot himself in the mouth and side. Fie is in a precarious condition.
The woman had been married secretly, but it is v.ot certain whether Kelly was aware of this fact.

The woman Flynn and Kelly became acquainted through the former advertising for a husband. It is believed she deceived him, and that they quarrelled over money which Kelly wanted re-
