THAMES DRAINAGE BOARD
The monthly meeting of the mem-; bers of this Board took place at Mr D. G. Macdonnell's office -to-day * there be-r; ing present Messrs G.S: Kissling, J. FClarke, H. A. Gordon, J. Park, J. McEnteer, and G; S. Clark. - - The Chairman; .-iiij reviewing the year's operations;_ referred to .. the death of two members, Messrs pickey: and Goomer; and oh his motibn it was resolved to forward a letter of condolence to the relatives of. Mr Coomer. Accounts.—The annual statement of accounts showed total receipts £3,837 8/3/ of which £346 10/11 was credit balance at commencement of the year,, and £3,255 contributions from mining companies.' The expenditure left a credit balance, of £25.1 3/6. On coal, £1,444 11/10.was spent; wages, £1,034 16/6; fees and travelling expenses, £166 19/; cartage, £246 1/9; gas and wafer, £ 134 2/6. Accounts to the, extent of £181 N 6/2 were ordered to be paid. Mr Kissling referred to the fact: that working expenses had been decreased during the year. Mr Brokenshire forwarded his re-j -port upon the pumping machinery, which was read and adopted, it being decided to remove the cornice of the chimney stack as recommended by the engineer. .■.: • ' -■.' - ■ Mr A.
