Before Mr T. Hutchison, S.M., to-; 'flay' at the Police Court, a..little boy named, Charles Bond pleaded .guilty to stealing a jpiifse arid 24/ in money. He was committed' to : the Burnham Industrial School, the boy's father being ordered to pay 2/6 a week to* wards his support there. James Kilkenny was fined 10/ with costs 23/; for behaving in a disorderly manner in a railway carriage, in default seven days' hard' labour. An application made by the husband of Eliza Jane Wesflak'e for a prohibition Order against her was dismissed. Mr Gregory appeared, to' oppose the application. Pawnbrokers' licenses were granted to. Louis Henry Neumegan and John Olsen. ' A charge* of; vag-> rancyagainst Mary I Howe was adjourned for one week\« accused ! being allowed out on bail on her own recognisance of £10. The,case against Robert Stanton and Robert Johnston was proceeding at the Police Court to-day before Mr H. W. Brabant, S.M. They are jointly charged with robbing Charles Perrin of a purse containing : about 33/ in cash, at the same time ! using personal violence. Mr Cotter i appears for SfantOn, Mr Napier for ! the other accused. .Chief-Detective | Grace conducted the prosecution. The ! whole of the morning was occupied in i the examination of orie ..witness for the j prosecution, Louis Rosina. The same | witness was cross-examined this after-. I noon. The case is proceeding.
