BUSH FIRES.
A WOMAN BURNT TO DEATH.
MELBOURNE, January 10.
Destructive bush fires have occurred in the Kilmore district, vast damage being done. Mrs Noonan, thewif j of a railway gate-keeper, was burnt, and died of her injuries. A man named McGovern, who tried to re-cue her, was also severely burnt.
Phosphorised wheat caused a great fire near Moranding, 400 acres of produce being destroyed. The fire then swept over a dozen farms, burning crops, fencing, grass, and buildings.
