MR WILDING'S APPEAL
(To the Editor.) ' '• Sir,—Without doubt the appeal the management of those kindred i cieties, the Society for the Preveritii of Cruelty to Animals and the Sbcijl. for the Protection of Women:a? Children!, is one which should sppf to every class and age. We credit 6} nation Vith. the moral support of a such humane institutions. But A® less the moral support is lacked.l financial assistance we cannot guaw tee their, existence. Surely th 6 M tory.of these societies demands thf existence without special refers^ to cases treated. Again, a sense | the due proportion of things suggest that if we as citizens risk in a sMI month, our thousands in horserace) and spend hundreds in pleasure, m cannot for shame's sake i.llow tp claims of these institutions to W unnoticed. Our honour requires tw we respond to them. . . ' Let parents inculcate the spirit.c consideration in their children, n then they in their turn will m w years to come afford the finance help as a natural result o- that trail ing. At this time, however, roay-i not be said to our shame as a «W munitv that we failed to strength? the hknds of those who -undert«| these unpleasant and difficult dntm which we all regret exist. May <•*•. one send forward his or her mite. _ |it is the pleasure of yours fait hWg
