NEW ZEALAND PIANOS.
(To the Editor.) Sir in a recent issue of your paper j Miss Elsie Hall, the Australian pianist, was made to say that she hesitated . about appearing at a concert in Auckland as she was uncertain whether she could secure a sufficiently good piano to Play on, or words to that eftect. The remarks attributed to her seem some- : what strange since she has already, played in Rotorua, and it is more than probable that the piano used was one that had been purchased in Auckland ; and shipped from here. It is no particular boast to claim that as good pianos as are shipped to the colonies come to-Auckland, and surely instruments that have been approved of by Kowalski and Herr Benner Schereck should prove sufficiently good to sat- ■ isfy Miss Hall. The Bnnsmead piano has been favourably commented upo ft : by experts both in Europe and the colonies, and they are easily procurable. _ by an artist in Auckland. Trusting , . you will allow this slight encroach- :... rhent on your space, I am, etc., ■ LOVER OF MUSIC. .
