MANAGERS' REPORTS
Welcome Find.—Sinking on No. 4 leader below No. 3 level proceeded during the week. When breaking down on Friday some strong blotches and colours of gold were seen pretty freely. The leader, which is highly mineralised, is from one to eight inches thick. Two men are rising for stopes above the No. 3 level on the Just in Time No. 1 lode, about 40 feet northwards from the new crosscut. The lode averages about two feet in thickness, and when broken down last Friday the stone from the hangingwnll showed nice dabs and colours of gold. The manager hopes something better will soon be exposed.
Imperial.—The' main adit tunnel is now 514 feet form the surface entrance. The country rock is of a firm fharneter, ai.d is rather difficult +o break but, which impedes progress somewhat.
