THE SHAREMARKET.
Sales of Waihi shares took place to-day on the Exchange at 06/ and Talismans at 12/2, with further buyers of the latter at 11/10. Bunker's Hill shares had steady buyers at 1/10 and Alphas at 3/, while buyers still offered 32/ for Waitekauri. An enquiry set in to-day for Maratoto shares at lid, but no sales we're reported at that price. In Standard stocks National Insurance sold at 16/3 and South British at 50/, buyers remaining for the latter at 49/. Enquiries were made for N.Z. Shipping at 90/, but no sellers quoted. Northern Steam were a little firmer, 7/4 being offered, and buyers of Ralph's Taupiri Coal advanced from 4/7 to 4/9, but no shares were offered under ">/.
