ALLEGED PRIZE-FIGHT.
♦ (By Telegraph—Pre..s Association.) CHRISTCHURCH,. this day. Participants in a prize-nght which is alleged to have taken place in Christchurch recently were 'barged at the Police Court to-day with this offence. On the advice cf the counsel witnesses pleaded privilege on the ground that as they were present they might incriminate themselves if they gave evidence.' On the application of the Crown Prosecutor the Bench remanded the cases for a. week so that the witnesses could be relieved from the possibility of prosecution. The case is exciting much interest in the city.
