Miscellaneous.—John Black pleaded guilty to stealing a pair of boots-the property of Walter Fuller, and was sent to gaol for one month. —Louis Perkins was convicted of using threatening behaviour in Queen-street, and' was discharged with a caution.—William Betts was fined 20/. of 7 days, for drunkenness, three first offenders being cautioned and discharged.—A; voting girl named Mary McGrath was convicted on a charge of vagrancy, on the evidence of Sergt. Kelly, Detectives McMahon and Mcllveney and Const. McGrath. As she had not been before the Cburt before His Worship discharged the accused with a caution. — Christiana Winder was fined 5/, without costs, for a breach of the Infant Life Protection Act.

By-law Cases. —For leaving carts unattended wi-tli wheel not chained, A. S. Holmes and Timothy Haves were each fined 5/, the "former without costs: J. Stewart, 10/ and costs; Charles Hill and Albert Smith each "/ a.nd costs. A similar charge against Thomas Hill was dismissed. For not keeping to the left when meeting another vehicle John Scott was fined 1/, with costs 27/.

Remanded. — A charge of indecent assault preferred against George HerOn was adjourned till the 16th inst. on the application of the police. Mr Reed appeared for the accused, who was allowed bail, self in £100 and two sureties in £100.
