THE FIFTH DRAW.
The cricket championships were resumed on Saturday afternoon, when the last draw of the first round was commenced. The Domain wickets ■were rather slow and the outfield heavy, but at Devonport the wicket was in perfect order. AUCKLAND XL V. UNITED. United won the toss, and^ sent the opposing team in to bat. The Atieklanders made the respectable total of 178, and succeeded in dismissing two of their opponents for 20 before the call of time. G. Stone, 41, made .top score. AUCKLAND XL—first Innings. D.
