A:. TRIPLE MURDER
NO CLUE TO THE PERPETRATORS
'- .BRISBANE, this day. A horrible outrage and triple murder is reported as having occurred near. Galton m the Ipswich district. Michael -Murphy, aged 29, and his sisters Norah, 27 years old, and Ellen, 18 years, attended the race meeting on Boxing Day. They left on ■ their return home in--a dogcart at ten the same night. Next morning the horse was found' shot dead in the bush a short distance from the 'township, and the three Murphy's beside the cart with their skulls / brutally smashed apparently with -a heavy stick.. ; The hands, of both,, the girls, were tied behind -..their - backs, and. Norah had a- strap, fastened tightly round her neck. - . "•.....■
