AUCKLAND RACING CLUB'S SUMMER MEETING.

THIS MORNING'S TRAINING NOTES.

A large crowd assembled at Ellerslie this morning to watch the winding up gallops. Nestor strode over a mile and a half on the tan at a strong pace, being assisted home by Regulus. Tirant d'Eau worked alone on the course proper at a strong pace over a mile and a half, moving like a piece of machinery. Coronet proved too good for Crusoe in a run over a mile and a half, for which the watches showed Sihin 53sec. Coeur de Lion was on the course, but did not work. Acone and Explosion galloped a mile and a half on the tan in g-ood style. Multiform and Altair strode over one and a quarter miles on the new plough, which was soft through the rain which .fell last night. Altair seemed to go much better this morning. Bluejacket and Canopus were extended for a round on the tan. Piex, who is in great heart, defeated Chasseur and Crusade over six furlongs, covered in Imin 22sec. Red Lancer was worked over a mile on the course proper at a strong pace. Screw Gun. was far too good for Nantes over six furlongs, run in liriiu 22sec. Panoply and Tim got through strong woi-k. Dante, Cairo, and Dummy, with big weights up, run two strong rounds on the course proper, the two first named having the best of it. Uhlan covered two miles at three-quarter pace. Seahorse and The Labourer got through strong work. Magpie, looking well, worked at a useful pace on the tan. Cannongate and St. Peter ran five furlong's in company.
