THE EXHIBITION.
Yesterday the attendance at the Exhibition numbered between four and five thousand, a large number of country visitors being present. Mr Hunter's orchestra contributed musical selections at the rotunda both | afternoon and evening. The first re-. I cital on the Brinsmead Grand piano ' was given in the a^ernoon by Miss ! Milly Heywood, who played in a fin- : ished manner the following selections: —'La Truite' (Heller). 'Am Geu:fer See.' No. 3 (Bendell). 'Yalse.(Mos- ! kowski), 'Gavotte' (Hoyte), 'TaranI telle' (Piezona), 'Air de Ballet' (ChamI ihade), 'Fantasia de American Airs' j (Sivrai). The musical competitions ' Were continued in the Choral Hall i yesterday afternoon, in the presence jOf a large number of visitors. In the i singing competitions two additional | tenors, three baritones, and five so--1 pranos were heard, while three violin--1 ists and seven pianists gave selec- ; tions. The contralto vocalists were ■ heard this afternoon at half-past two.
