NORTH SHORE NATIVE REGATTA.
In connection with the North Shore Native Eeg-atta and Aquatic Carnival which commences next Monday very satisfactory arrangements have been made for the attendance of Maoris from Waikato, Kaipara and Bay of Islands. About 100 Northern Maoris will arrive from the Bay of Islands by the s.s. Clansman on Friday morning, bringing- either two or three larg-e canoes, including the Tawatawa and
Omapere. Telegrams were received to-day from Mercer from Mr Searanckc, who is acting1 as the Committee's agent in the Wa.ikato, stating that seventy Waikato natives will come down by train on Friday, bringing King Malii!la's 'war' canoe Taherelikitiki and the large canoes Pa para ta, Kniwlin and Waingai'o, besides two vvakit'liwjii for the women's canoe ntct-H, iiiid (We small canoes for the hurdle vnco.H.
