A fitting finish for the year is the return of the Waihi G.M. Co. for the past month's operations, beating as it does by £ 1000 the former records, al- j ihough nearly 100 tons less of ore j >-ere treated this time. During- the j four weeks ending December 10, during which period the mills were runsing- 24 days, 7654 tons of quartz $vere treated for a return of bullion jvorth £25,285. The average value per ton of the ore treated was £3 5/10. sLast month's record return was £24,J23 from 7759 tons of ore. The output .this month is £5000 more than the total yield of the mine in 1394. The output for this year is £95,531 ahead of that for 1597, the mjbrease alone exceeding the total yield from the. mine four years ago. So far the total output for IS9B is £242,871 6/S. As there is still a small clean-up before the end of the year, and some tactual bullion returns are not yet to band from London, no doubt a quar, ter of a million will be the total yield j tor the past 12 months- The grand j output from the mine since 1890 now bulls £879.435 4/5, of which* £34 0;509 bas been distributed as dividends.
