THE SHAREMARKET.
■Waitekauri shares advanced another shilling to-day on the Exchange, 26/ toeing offered without disclosing- any sellers below 30/. During the month these shares were offered as low as 25/ without eliciting a buying1 quotation. Waihi-Silverton shares lost a little of the rise noted yesterday, being sold at 6/3, and subsequently at 6/. There were, however, still buyers at 5/10. Tararu Creek shares also eased a little, transactions being reported at 2/. Bunker's Hill shares, on the other hand, firmed, sales being made at 2/1 and 2/2, with steady buyers left at" 2/. Mount Lyell shares changed hands at £6 14/, and were still wanted at a slight concession on that price. Talisman shares had firm buyers at 12/ G. Other mining stocks showed no alteration. In standard stocks buyers of Devonport Ferry and Auckland Gas firmed a little in their offers, but no sales
were made,
