AKARANA RULE CLUB.
The second competition for the Amberite Cup was fired on Saturday at the club range, Avondale. The weather was favourable to good shooting, and some very stood scores were made. Mr Doughty making the fine score of 95 out of a possible 105. The ranges were 200 yds (kneeling). 500 yds (prone), 600 yds (any position), seven shots and two sighters at each range. The following were the scores:— Doughty 95, Webster 93, Cox 92, Taylor 89, Hazard, sen., S7, E. Buchanan S4, Willis 79, Jackson 79, Nutt 73, Hazard, jun., 77, Sherson 72, Palmer 69, Suttie 6S, J. E. Buchanan 61, Holtz 55, Marks 45.
