A force of friendly natives under Major Stuart hacl a brush with Dervishes at Gaali, capturing five. There is a daily arrival of Dervish, refugees in the British camp, which they reach by floating doAvn the Nile on logs. 'The Khalifa is reported to be short of ammunition and cannons.
