WRECK OF A KETCH.
MELBOUENE, August 8.
The ketch Secret has been lost at Port Albert. Two of the crew were drowned.
[The Secret was a wooden ketch of 19 tons. She was built at Williamstown, Victoria, in 1865, and. was owned by W. A Mountjoy and others, of Melbourne. She was 53.4 feet long, 13.4 feet in the beam, and 5.4 feet in depth of hold.] MELBOURNE, this day. The. Secret, wrecked at Port Albert, was in charge of Fred Lund. His mate's name is unknown. The bodies have not been recovered. The Secret left port with two of a crew a fortnight ago for Desolite Island, fishing. The men were then short of provisions. They started eight days ago to return with provisiions. The condition of the men on the island is considered precarious.
