Mr Duncan E. Clerk, the well known stock and share broker of this city, and Mr H. T. Twiss have now begun trading under the name of The Elfindale Tea Company, at 75, Queen-street. The Elfindale Plantation in Ceylon, from which all their teas are supplied, is owned by Mr Clerk. The Company guarantee to keep up their standard of quality, and as the annual output from the plantation is some 200,000 lbs, they should have no difficulty in doing so. The City Council authorities have not lost sight of an auxiliary water supply.
