ATTACK ON SPANISH PORTS.
WASHINGTON, June 27. The Administration to-day decided to send a fleet against Spain and into the Mediterranean. Three, vessels selected as colliers have already started for Newport with a view to take oji a large supply, of coal. The determination to send this squadron against Spain was the outcome of direct official advice reaching- the State and Navy Departments as to the progress of Admiral Caniara's squadron. These advices gave a list of Spanish ships as follows:—Pelayo, Carlos V., Auda?, Patrioka, Rapido, Buenos Ayres, Isla de Paney, Colon, Covandonga, Osada Prosperina and San. Francisco. This is the fleet designated by the Spanish Navy Department as the Eastern squadron that will lay waste the sea coast of Spain and smash the armada of Admiral , Camara: —Newark (flagship), Oregon," Yosemite, Yankee, Dixie, Scandia, Alexander, and Aberonda.
