A writ" was issued to-day out of the Supreme Court, as the Colonial Court of Admiralty, in the case in which John Patterson, as owner of theLaira, claims £3,400 from the Union Steamship Company, owners of the Wakatipu, for damages occasioned by the collision on April 2nd, by which the Laira was sunk.
