A sitting of the Supreme Court (in bankruptcy) was held ithis morning before His Honor Mr Justice Conolly. There being no opposition, an order of discharge was granted to George Richard Rogers. ,Mr Tple appeared on behalf of the Official .Assignee, and Mr Reed in support of the application. Mr Reed applied ' that an order of discharge t>e granted to William Robert Hutchinson. Mr Campbell (qjft. behalf of Heather, Roberton and Co.) appeared to oppose. Mr Harold Heather gave evidence as to dealings his firm had with. Mr Hutchinson, formerly a storekeeper at Hukerenui. Mr Reed ipointed out the proceedings were taken to coerce debtor into handing, over section 12 of a village settlement at Hukerenui. His Honor said there was nothing to show fraud in the matter. If section 12 was an available assetit belonged- to the body of the creditors and not to Messrs Heather, Roberton and Co. He did not think it a case in which he ought to refuse the discharge. The order of discharge would be granted. Re Benjamin Lewis and Hyman Lewis (bankrupts). Mr Tole appeared' in support of an application' to fix ■ a day for public examination of the bankrupts. His Honor granted the application, and fixed the public examination for Bth 'August next at eleven a.m.
