WASHINGTON, June 26
General Linarius, in command of 1,200 Spanish troops, in the retreat to Saeilla, lost seven men killed and twenty-seven wounded.
A sharp eng-agement occurred between a body of the Cuban insurgents "who are operating- with the Americans and Spaniards at Guranina.
The Cubans lost fifty men. The Spanish losses are not known, but they are reported to have been hjeavy. ;
j The Cuban insurgents captured two trains conveying- food to the Spanish troops.
