The ratepayers have authorised the borrowing of £30,000 for the purpose ot constructing water and drainage works at a special rate of 1/1 in the £ on the rateable value of all property within a special area, which rateable value, rental value, is now approximately £24,186, and will probably increase annually. This special rate will produce approximately £1309 per annum, and this rate and the works are offered as security for the loan.
