(For 24 hours from 9 a.m. this day): Wind—Gale between west and southwest and south after 10 hours at all places northward of Lyttelton and Holtitika, and earlier in the South. Barometer—Further rise at all places northward of East Cape, Taupo, and New Plymouth, fall everywhere else, but rising after 12 hours. Sea—lncreasing on East Coast southward of Napier, moderate at all other places. Tides—High on western coast of North Island. Moderate on east coast northward of Napier. Good and increasing elsewhere. The weather will be cold everywhere.
