HAMILTON, Saturday
The Cambridge and lluutly football teams met on Sydney Square Ic-day. A good deal of interest surrounded the match, as lluutly had defeated Hamilton, and it rested with Cambridge to win and place Hamilton. Cambridge and liuntly on an equal footing. Cambridge put in a strong contingent, but Hitntly were weakened by the absence of five forwards, and one back, and only played I! men. Cambridge had undoubtedly the best of the game. In the first spell they scored three points from a penalty goal. During the second half, Cowling, one of I he Cambridge forwards, made a mo.-;| sensational run. Coining away from midfield, he heal seven <;r eight of the opposing team and scored amid tremendous cheering. The kick at gna1! was successful, and Cambridge thii.i won by 8 to 0.
