Tn the House Mr Bryncs stated that the Government opposed the New Guinea Land grab on all grounds. It not only meant shutting the people out of land which would prove a suitable location for the overflow population of Australia, but granting a monoply of the mines and supporting a rival to the tropical producers of Queensland.
