Aquinaldo, the Insurgent leader at the Philippines, reports that he is besieging a church with 300 .Spanish .soldiers inside who must surrender.
The Governor proposes to capitulate.

The Governor of the Philippines reports that the entire archlpelugo, except, the Visayas Group, hits revolted, and that he is unable lo exercise any control with the force at his command, which is inadequate,. The Mrulrid authorities have instructed the military commandant of the Visaya Group at any cost to proceed to Manila and arrange a joint plan of operations.
Jt is reported that the Governor has taken refuge in Manila Castle, where he will rnnlce a final stand
Ministers are consulting- the Queen Regent Christina on the grave position of affairs.
WASHINGTON, June 9
Six additional transports have been chartered for the Philippines.
