Mrs Wilson, relict of the lato Mr Thomas Wilson, of Okcte, near .Raglan, died at her residence on the 4tli inst. Deceased was the oldest inhabitant of the district, being 85 years of age. Mr and Mrs Wilson came to Raglan district from Taranaki over 40 years ago. Mr Wilson died in 1886.

. The. Auckland University College Students' Association hold their second animal ball last night in the Choral Hall. The function* proved a brilliant success, the Committee having spared no trouble or expense in the arrangements and catering. The hall inside was artistically decorated with greenery and Hags, while employees oi Messrs Winks and Hall had prepared an excellent floor. Among the many present were representatives of the College Council and Professorial Hoard. Supper was provided by a committee of ladies with the assistance of Mr Frank Towscy and a smart stall' of waiters. Mr E. \V. G. Kathboric, the popular Hon. Secretary, worked hard for the success of the bail, and he was assisted by the following Committee :—Misses Bees, M. Gorrie, llbort, McPherson, Keen and E.
