POLO.
This morning- a polo match \yas played in Hunter and Nolan's paddock, at Ellerslie, between teams representing- the Waingaro and Auckland Polo Clubs. The match proved a very onesided one, all the scoring being done by Auckland. The Waingaro men played plnckily, but- were outclassed bY Auckland. The result was: —
Auckland 9 goals Waingaro Nil por -the winners Tonics secured seven goals, Bloomfield one, and Eii'ott one. The respective teams .vere :—Waingaro : Se.vell (back), Upton (3), H. Bull (2).' and F. Bull (1). Auckland: W. R, Bloomfield (back), Tonks (3), Hanna (2), Eliott (1). This afternoon the Auckland Polo Club's annual sports were proceeding at Potter's Paddock, there being a number of interesting contests on the programme.
