COTTON SPINNERS' STRIKE.
NEW YORK, January 18. An extensive strike of cotton spinners for an advance of wages has taken place in New England. One thousand hands are iffeeted.
TRADE UNIONS IN GERMANY.
BERLIN, January 18. ■ % A German Socialist obtained possession, and published a Ministerial circular issued to the Federal Government suggesting the enactment of a stringent law to suppress trade nnionists. Graf Yon Posadowsky Vehuer, Financial .Secretary of State, strongly condemned aijan official breach of trust the means by which the Socialist was enabled to publish the circular.
